We have all experienced the security lines at airports when we are traveling. Waiting our turn, taking off our jacket, belt and shoes, removing liquids and laptop from our bag. But now you might have to do even more!
That is right, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is currently testing in several airports the removal of e-readers and tablets along with reading material. TSA Agents will fan through your books to see if anything is hidden between the pages. We all travel with different reading material. Some with Cosmo, Readers Digest and other people may be reading a fashion magazine, but heck, I am a female and I do like some title's like "50 Shades of Gray" or "50 Shades of Darker" and boy I could see the agent's face now, would they be judging me?!! Thank goodness for TSA Pre✓®
All joking aside, if the testing goes well as the TSA predicts, it will this new security will expand to other airports.
When you go on vacation it is supposed to be enjoyable, why stress at the airport!
I understand how difficult this can be. Before we had the TSA Pre✓® I recall my airport experiences traveling with my family, the long lines, and removing everything. This was difficult especially when you have children with special needs, someone who has a sensory issue or traveling with someone who is elderly.
How can you alleviate your frustration not worry about long lines, taking items out of your carry-on bag or taking off items of clothing - get a "Known Traveler Number" (KTN) through TSA Pre✓®
TSA Pre✓® is an expedited screening program that enables identified low-risk air travelers to enjoy a smart and efficient screening experience.
